How we write, check and update the advice on this website.
Written from real jobs
Our advice is written by the people who clean gutters for Gutter Washing Newcastle. It is based on what we see on roofs and gutters across Newcastle, Tyneside and Northumberland: the kinds of blockages we clear, the property types we work on and the questions customers ask us.
Accurate and practical
We only give advice we would give a customer face to face. Where a job needs a specialist, such as a roofer or a drainage engineer, we say so. We do not recommend working at height without the right equipment and training.
Reviewed and kept up to date
Each article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. We review our advice regularly and correct anything that is out of date. If you spot a mistake, please email info@gutterwashingnewcastle.co.uk.
Independent
We do not accept payment for recommending products or other businesses. Links to other websites are included only where they help you.
How we use AI
Our articles are written and checked by people who do the work. If we ever use AI tools to help draft or tidy up an article, a person who cleans gutters for us reviews every word before it is published, and we take full responsibility for what it says. We currently publish 12 advice articles.
